The Catskills You Didn’t Think You Could Find Any Longer…
Find your winter Catskills escape! Just a couple of hours from NYC, in the heart of the enchanted Catskill mountains, Spillian offers an evocative embrace into a superb historic Catskills Great Camp from the 1880’s for your group of friends, family, or colleagues…roaring fireplaces, glowing wood walls, a feasting table for 20, the best porch anywhere (complete with rocking chairs and buffalo check blankets for cold-weather cozying), and a range of tastes and treats to make your stay seamless. Want a custom catered feast? We can imagine up the menu of your deepest dreams with our team of chefs. Want a guided hike or snow shoeing adventure? Let us introduce you to our friends at Upstate Adventure Guides – some of the finest guides in the Catskills. Massages? Yoga classes? Wine and spirits tastings? Cooking classes? A murder mystery? Live music? We’ve got you covered. A special custom informal workshop on dreaming your future into being? We can do that, too.
They’re calling for fabulous snow…
And, of course, there is skiing. For downhill skiers, snowboarders, and tubers, we are about five minutes from Belleayre Ski Center (ask us for special discounts on lift tickets!), about 15 from Plattekille, and about a half an hour from Hunter Mountain and Ski Windham. We can also point you to cross country skiing nearby – at Mountain Trails in Tannersville, or on Catskill Park trails throughout the mountains. Want to go ice skating? Ice climbing? Just ask us for directions.
Or grab one of our sleds and take advantage of the perfect sledding hill right in front of the mansion.
Make a snow man – or a snow castle – and have an epic snowball battle. Hot chocolate (or brandy!) awaits you when you’re ready to brush the snow off.
Or simply sit inside in the quiet of the Catskill mountains in winter, reading, listening to music, watching a movie, finally making time for the perfect emptiness of a jig saw puzzle, or, even, just nap.
